Chassis
The Vamtac ST5 is powered by a 245-horsepower, 6.7L 6-cylinder turbodiesel engine that delivers more than 925 Nm of torque. It features a fully automatic transmission with six forward speeds, one reverse speed, and a two-speed transfer box, enabling permanent four-wheel drive. Both front and rear axles are equipped with independent suspension systems, including double A-arm setups, double reduction, coil springs, and telescopic shock absorbers, providing enhanced mobility and stability on rough terrain.
The vehicle is outfitted with 335/80 R20 tubeless, run-flat tires, and a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) allows tire pressure adjustment while on the move, tailored to different terrains. Braking is managed by a dual-line, hydraulic system with disc brakes on all wheels, supplemented by Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).

Protection and Armament
The Vamtac ST5 offers ballistic protection compliant with STANAG 4569, safeguarding the crew compartment against small arms fire and shrapnel.
