The LAPV is powered by a 181-horsepower, 3L 6-cylinder turbodiesel engine that delivers 400 Nm of torque. It features a fully automatic transmission with five forward speeds, one reverse speed, and a two-speed transfer box, enabling permanent four-wheel drive. Both on front and rear, there are rigid axles are equipped with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers, providing enhanced mobility and stability on rough terrain.
The vehicle is outfitted with different size run-flat tires depending on variant. Braking is managed by a dual-line, hydraulic system with disc brakes on front wheels and drum brakes on rear wheels, supplemented by Anti-Lock Braking system (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
