The LAPV is powered by a 181-horsepower, 3L 6-cylinder turbodiesel engine that delivers 400 Nm of torque. It features a fully automatic transmission with five forward speeds, one reverse speed, and a two-speed transfer box, enabling permanent four-wheel drive. Both on front and rear, there are rigid axles are equipped with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers, providing enhanced mobility and stability on rough terrain.
The vehicle is outfitted with different size run-flat tires depending on variant. Braking is managed by a dual-line, hydraulic system with disc brakes on front wheels and drum brakes on rear wheels, supplemented by Anti-Lock Braking system (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).

Protection and Armament
The LAPV 5.4 5-Doors variant can be outfitted with various turrets, cupolas, and other mission-specific configurations. It includes four rifle holders to secure crew equipment and accommodate additional hatch. The vehicle provides ballistic protection compliant with STANAG 4569, safeguarding the crew compartment against small arms fire and shrapnel. It also meets STANAG 4569 standards for mine protection. Additional protective measures can be integrated as needed to meet mission requirements.
Features
The vehicle is equipped with four doors for crew access and an additional rear door for the load area. It features four windows integrated into the doors and a single-piece windshield. Inside, it accommodates a crew of four with four front-facing seats. Additionally, a hatch is provided for enhanced crew access.
